Adjusting seat height and seat tilt
Easily adjust your shower stool or shower chair to your individual needs.
Adjust seat height
The adapter set allows you to raise the entire seat surface by 4 or 8 cm. Depending on your needs, you can adjust the shower stool or shower chair to your desired height.
Adjust seat tilt
The adapter set allows you to tilt the seat by 13° into an ergonomic wedge position. This makes sitting down and standing up easier, especially after hip or knee surgery, and ensures a comfortable, joint-friendly sitting posture.
What are the advantages of a wedge seat?
Getting up from a normal chair isn't only difficult for older people. Those suffering from chronic back pain or who have undergone knee or hip surgery also benefit from the seat's 13° angled position.
Easier to get up and sit down
A huge advantage of a wedge-shaped seat is that the distance between the seat surface and the buttocks is not as great. This means that the thigh muscles are not strained as much when sitting down, and safety during the downward movement is increased.
The same applies to the upward movement when standing up. Due to the sloping shape of the seat, the hips are already in the middle of the movement pattern, and you need to exert less force to bring the body into an upright position.
Relief for the back
Many people find it easier to sit upright when the seat is tilted downwards. This straightens the spine and relieves strain on the back muscles.
Sitting more healthily after surgery
Especially after hip or knee surgery, it is recommended to bend the treated joints at an obtuse angle to the body. This means that the hips are positioned higher than the knees, or the knees are not bent more than at a right angle.
