The cover matters more on this model than on any other we sell. The Rhythm carries a cueing module with a laser, a battery and vibrating handles, and airline baggage handling is not gentle. The cover takes the knocks, keeps the module dry on a coach trip, and means the frame arrives in the state it left in.

Why we recommend it

People who buy the Rhythm are usually fighting to keep their world from shrinking — that is the whole point of cueing. Travel is the first thing that goes when a diagnosis lands, and the second thing people want back. If flights, ferries or coach holidays are still on your list, buy the cover with the rollator rather than after the first trip has scuffed it.

Choose the plain version instead if your walking is local — the Rhythm Wheelchair is identical in every other respect, and the cover can be added any time.

Common questions

Does the cover fit the rollator folded or open?

Folded. You fold the frame to 31cm, slide the cover on and it protects the whole unit in transit.

Can I take the Rhythm on a plane?

Mobility equipment travels free on flights from Ireland, but each airline has its own handling rules for battery-powered items — tell them at booking that the cueing module has a rechargeable battery, and check whether they want it carried in the cabin. We can put the specification in writing for you.

Is the bundle cheaper than buying the two separately?

No — €1,794 for the rollator plus €145 for the cover comes to the same €1,939. The bundle exists so it arrives as one order, fitted and ready, rather than a cover turning up after your first trip.
