The indoor rollator you don't have to hide when visitors come.
Why we recommend it
We have lost count of the number of homes where the indoor walking frame lives behind a door because it looks like hospital equipment in a sitting room. The Scandinavian Butler was designed to solve that specific problem: it takes its cues from Danish furniture rather than medical supply, and it sits in a room without announcing anything about the person using it.
That would be a shallow reason to stock it if the engineering were not there too. Eight independently turning wheels give it genuine 360-degree manoeuvrability — it turns in its own footprint, which is what a kitchen or a narrow hall actually demands. The handle and brake work with one hand, so it suits anyone with a weaker side. Soft rubber wheels cross thresholds and carpet without marking floors.
It is also noticeably stable to lean on. Physiotherapists comment on this: you can put real weight through your arms without the frame threatening to tip, which matters if your balance is the problem rather than your stamina.
Choose it if indoor walking is the difficulty, and how the equipment looks in your home is part of whether you will use it.
Choose something else if you need to sit and shuffle along — the Saljol Indoor Rollator WR is approved for moving while seated and comes in four seat heights. The Butler does not fold, so if it has to be stored away or travel in a car, look at a folding frame instead.

What's included
The rollator, delivered assembled and set to your handle height. A birch wood tray with a non-slip cork surface and a felt basket are available separately — the tray is what turns it into the butler the name suggests, for carrying a cup or a dinner plate steadily from kitchen to chair.
About byACRE
byACRE are Danish, and better known here for the Carbon Ultralight. The Scandinavian Butler is their indoor piece and a Danish Design Award winner — sleek lines, a classic look, and the deliberate decision to make a mobility aid that reads as furniture. The frame carries byACRE's lifetime warranty; you register the purchase with them to activate it.
Buying from Bee Healthcare
- Try it before you buy. For an indoor frame a home assessment tells you more than a showroom — we bring it to your own rooms. Showroom appointments are available too: book an appointment.

Common questions
Why doesn't it fold?
Because it is meant to stay where it is. Folding costs stability and adds visible hinges and catches; byACRE chose a frame that looks like furniture and stands like it. If you need to fold and transport, this is the wrong product.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. The soft rubber wheels and the low frame are made for level indoor floors, thresholds and carpet.
How does the one-hand operation work?
The handle bar and the brake are both operable from one side, so someone with a weaker arm after a stroke can still use it properly rather than compensating.
Will the wheels mark my floors?
They are soft rubber, chosen not to leave marks on wood, tile or vinyl.
How does it compare with the Saljol Indoor Rollator?
The Saljol is narrower (51cm), comes in four seat heights and is approved for pushing yourself along while seated. The Butler is more stable to lean on, turns in its own footprint, and looks like furniture. We keep both in the showroom — the choice usually comes down to whether you need to sit and move.
