The rollator for narrow halls and real shopping — it turns close to you and carries 20kg.
Why we recommend it
The Flex solves two problems the ultralights do not. The first is turning: it has a small turning circle and pivots close to your body, which is what you need in a hall, a lift, a bathroom doorway or the gap between a kitchen counter and a table. The second is carrying — the bag takes 20kg, which is a week's shopping rather than a token basket.
It also has foam-filled tyres rather than hard rubber, so cracked footpaths and thresholds are absorbed instead of jarring through the wrists. We fit this for people who are steady on their feet but doing a lot of daily walking with things to carry.
The Small size is worth knowing about: it suits users from 1.40m, where most rollators stop at 1.55m. If you are short, this is often the first rollator that has ever set low enough.
Choose it if you walk indoors and out, carry shopping, and manoeuvre in tight spaces — or if standard rollators have always been too tall.
Choose something else if lifting it into a boot is the main event: at 6.8–7.7kg it is heavier than the carbon frames — see the Carbon Ultralight (4.8kg) or the Rollz Air (4.7kg). If you sometimes need to be pushed, the Rollz Motion 2.1 converts to a wheelchair.

About the Rollz Flex 2
Rollz is a Dutch manufacturer. The Flex 2 is the current version, with softer foam-filled tyres and revised seating over the original. The design deliberately avoids the classic rollator look — it reads as a modern trolley rather than a hospital aid, which is the reason a lot of people choose it.

Common questions
Will it fit through my doorways?
It is 62.3cm wide overall, so it clears a standard Irish internal door of about 72cm. If your home has a narrower door or a tight turn, tell us at the fitting — for genuinely narrow spaces an indoor rollator is the better answer.
How much can the bag really carry?
20kg, on both sizes. The Regular bag is 25 litres, the Small 14 litres.
Is it suitable if I am under five feet?
Yes — that is exactly what the Small size is for, with handles from 69cm and a seat at 52.5cm.
Does it fold small enough for a car?
It folds to 33cm wide and stands on its own. That suits most boots, though the carbon frames fold narrower if space is tight.
